Vice President Says Border Policies Should Focus on Equity

She previously explained that equity “means we all end up in the same place.“

Vice President Harris discussed border security, among other topics, during an interview Monday.

She claimed members of the opposing party are “playing politics” with immigration issues. She said both she and the president are criticized for not doing more at the border to stem the flow of migrants. The vice president said that to have security at the border, Congress needs to focus on concerns regarding equity.

The vice president said border negotiations should be “directed at solutions that are genuinely focused on fixing the problem including all the equities.”

Vice President Harris explained the difference between equality and equity in a video posted in November 2020. “Equitable treatment means we all end up in the same place,” she said.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
